Matt Damon Flaunts New Look for Upcoming Movie 'The Odyssey' — Photos
The movie star put in significant effort for his new role, and his famous best friend also commented on his physical appearance during the filming of the project.
Matt Damon was spotted during an extravagant Italian yacht excursion on April 11, 2025. He was pictured shirtless while cruising on the vessel in Favignana, Italy.
The Massachusetts native showed off his toned-up body in blue shorts during the outing. He looked barely recognizable, sporting a gray beard and silver hair.
According to reports, the actor and producer is filming his upcoming movie, "The Odyssey," set for release in 2026. He got in shape for the role. In an interview, his longtime friend Ben Affleck, an award-winning filmmaker and actor, weighed in on his new look by poking fun at him. He joked:
"This is the face that’s like they just told him there are photographers out there so he’s like, 'I'm flexing my abs.'"

Affleck, who recently attended the premiere of his latest movie, "The Accountant 2," admitted he has to "give it respect." He explained that as one gets older, it becomes challenging to achieve this but that his pal is "getting it done," adding:
"He does look pretty good, I'm kind of impressed."
Damon is not the only star showing off. Affleck also flexed his line dancing and Spanish skills in "The Accountant 2." The California native admitted to liking line dancing more than anticipated once he learned the moves.
"I was like 'Ok, I'm down, I get it, I see how it goes,'" said the two-time Academy Award winner. Affleck described this type of dance as a way "for white people to dance successfully," explaining "because it’s organized ahead of time and you don't have to like, improvise or try to do anything [sic]." His movie premieres in theaters April 25, 2025.
