Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry Officially Confirm Their Romance

The pair sparked dating rumors earlier this year, just weeks after the "Dark Horse" singer confirmed the end of her engagement. They made their first official outing as a couple over the weekend.

Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry have officially gone public with their romance. The couple stepped out on Saturday evening, October 25, in Paris, France, to celebrate Perry's 41st birthday.

They enjoyed a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris, where the paparazzi awaited them out front. TMZ obtained footage of the two walking out hand in hand after the show, as cameras flashed and clicked.

In one clip, a fan handed Perry a couple of red roses and wished her a happy birthday. The singer gracefully accepted the gift and headed toward a waiting vehicle alongside her beau. The lovebirds appeared to be in good spirits and at ease in each other's presence.

Some were all for their romantic pairing. "I think they look cute together lol," one person wrote. "Good for her! He's a catch! 🔥🔥🔥" another said of Trudeau. "Love this! So happy for the both of them!," a third added. "Awwwwwww cuteeeeee 😍😍😍😍😍," a fan gushed.

Others? Not so much. "This is actually so embarrassing lol," one netizen remarked. "Is this some weird publicity stunt? 😂😂," another asked. "I am nauseous," a third wrote. "Genuinely the funniest thing i've seen all week [sic]," someone else added.

Perry and Trudeau's outing comes after a source shared that the singer wanted to keep the relationship low-key. "Katy is really into it. She's very happy," the insider told Us Weekly. "She's trying to keep it low-key, and they've spent a lot of private time together."

"She's not looking to publicize this relationship," the insider continued, adding, "Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn't met a lot of her friends yet."

Just weeks earlier, the Daily Mail released photos of the pair cozying up together on Perry's yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. The photos showed the couple embracing aboard the vessel, as they enjoyed a mini getaway together.

The images, published on October 11, had been captured at the end of September by a passenger on a passing tourist boat. "She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out," the witness said.

"I didn't realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy's arm and I immediately realised it was Justin Trudeau," they added. Trudeau and Perry first sparked romance rumors in late July after they were photographed on a date in Montreal.

The sighting came weeks after she confirmed her separation from her ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom, though news of their split had first emerged in late June. Perry and Bloom had been together since 2016.

They got engaged in 2019, and welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, in August 2020. In a statement from their reps, the former couple said they were shifting their focus to co-parenting their child "with love, stability, and mutual respect."

Trudeau was also previously married to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau before the two announced their separation in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple share three children: sons Xavier, 17, and Hadrien, 11, and daughter Ella-Grace, 16.
