Taylor Swift’s Ex Joe Alwyn Seen for the First Time Since Engagement News

The "Kinds of Kindness" star was previously in a relationship with the "Cruel Summer" hitmaker for more than six years. His latest appearance comes shortly after she announced her engagement.

Joe Alwyn was spotted out and about in London, England, on Wednesday afternoon, August 27. The outing marked his first public appearance since attending the men's semi-final at The Championships, Wimbledon, this past July.

In photos obtained by TMZ, the film star looked sharp in casual streetwear. He paired a striped knit sweater in shades of teal, blue, and green, with loose wide-leg light-wash jeans. He completed his look with chunky blue sneakers and a blue L.A. Dodgers baseball cap.

Alwyn also carried a black tote bag and was accompanied by a friend dressed in athletic gear. At one point, he was photographed walking alone with AirPods in his ears, strolling along as he listened to music.

Though generally a reclusive public figure, Alwyn's sighting has attracted media attention as it comes amid the ongoing buzz surrounding his ex Taylor Swift's engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The "Stars at Noon" actor previously dated Swift for over six years before their relationship ended in early 2023, months before Swift connected with Kelce. Shortly after, Alwyn reflected on the media scrutiny their romance attracted throughout their time together.

"You have something very real suddenly thrown into a very unreal space: tabloids, social media, press, where it is then dissected, speculated on, pulled out of shape beyond recognition," he told The Times in June 2024.

"And the truth is, to that last point, there is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said. I have made my peace with that," he added. Alwyn also shared at that point that he was in "a really great place" in his life both professionally and personally. "I feel really good," he said.
