Netizens React to Donatella Versace's New Look: 'She's Had a Facelift'

An expert has also weighed in on whether the renowned Italian fashion designer has had any work done following her recent social media upload.

Donatella Versace posted a snapshot of herself on August 24, 2025, on Instagram, basking in the sunset while wearing a beige sequined dress.

The world-famous businesswoman, who wore her curly blonde hair down and faced away from the camera, captioned the post, "Summer twilight ✨🌅💜."

Versace appeared to have a fresh-faced complexion in the photo. Notably, her upper lip reportedly looked thinner while her cheeks were less puffy than in previous pictures.

The public figure's recent social upload sparked reactions from netizens. "Now she looks like Courtney Love," commented one person. Another added, "Face lift- maybe two [sic]."

Someone else argued, "It's just a different makeup." While one claimed, "There's definitely a filter or face apping [sic] going on." "[...] She's had a facelift. Looks [sic] much better," said another.

Over the years, Versace has faced speculation about her changing appearance despite only admitting to getting Botox. While some people made assumptions about the 70-year-old's look, an expert shared a different view on the subject.

Advanced aesthetic nurse and founder of ALTA Medispa, Anastasia Koles, was asked whether the fashion designer might have altered her appearance of late.

She reportedly revealed to the Daily Mail, "When it comes to Donatella, it's impossible to say with certainty what procedures she may or may not have had without assessing her in person." Even so, Koles acknowledged that Versace's lips do appear to be smaller than before due to several reasons.

"In the past, she seems to have had permanent fillers, likely silicone, in combination with hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers layered on top. If the HA filler has been dissolved or has naturally broken down, that could explain the reduction in volume," Koles explained.

According to her, the socialite's jawline also seemed to be more defined now. Moreover, Koles mentioned that aging is a key factor because of how the skin changes, which can alter one's appearance.
