Kristin Davis Reveals She Was Once Set Up on a Date with Matthew Perry
Kristin Davis is looking back on an unexpected connection with Matthew Perry, revealing that the two once shared a dinner date during the height of his "Friends" fame.
Kristin Davis shared that she was once set up with Matthew Perry at a Hollywood dinner party in the 1990s, recalling that the late "Friends" star was lovely to be with throughout their evening together.

The "Sex and the City" alum explained on the August 18, 2025 episode of her "Are You a Charlotte?" podcast that an attorney arranged the match during the peak of Perry's success.
"It was between Melrose Place, which I did before City," Kristin said. "It was at a house. It was a dinner party. It was so low-key."

Although the gathering included "a bunch of Hollywood people," Davis, 60, admitted she couldn't recall anyone else who attended "other than this lawyer and Matthew."
"Matthew’s lovely," she continued, reflecting on the actor, who died at age 54 in 2023. "He sits next to me and he's talking about how thrilled he is, how happy they are on the set at Friends."

While their brief connection didn't turn into anything romantic, Davis noted that Perry’s passion for his work made her reevaluate her own career path.
Perry's enthusiasm for his work on "Friends" prompted Davis to reflect on her own career. At the time, she admitted she wasn’t entirely happy with the atmosphere on "Melrose Place," the show that first catapulted her to fame.

That breakout success, Davis has suggested, may have also complicated her personal life. Over the years, she was romantically linked to Alec Baldwin, Liev Schreiber, and Aaron Sorkin.
