Joanna Gaines Enjoys ‘Last Dinner’ with Eldest Kids Before College

The interior designer gave fans a glimpse of the special gathering as her children prepare for college. Her eldest is returning as a junior, while her second eldest is starting her first year as a freshman.

Joanna Gaines is feeling a little emotional. The mom of five is soon bidding farewell to her eldest kids, Drake, 20, and Ella, 18, as they return to school to resume their studies. She shared a video on Saturday, August 9, chronicling their final dinner together ahead of their departure.

"Gulp. Last dinner together before our oldest heads back to college and our second is about to leave home for her freshman year," Joanna — who also shares Duke, 17, Emmie, 15, and Crew, 7, with her husband, Chip — wrote alongside the montage.

The first few clips show her and Chip making pizzas in an outdoor brick oven on their farm. The couple and the kids then sit down at the dinner table to enjoy the homemade meal before spending more quality time outside.

In one of the last few clips, Joanna can be seen going in for a group hug with her kids before hopping on her son's mini motorbike for a joy ride.

"Thankful for the group hug and all the puppies to help me work through my wide range of emotions," she continued."And also Crew's motor bike, it made me feel like a kid again ☺️ I love you kids so much 🩵."
