
Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave Speak Out After Attempted Home Break-in
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alums were reportedly at home when the incident occurred, and they later shared footage of the intruders entering their property.
Teddi Mellencamp and her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, spoke out in a joint statement on July 22, 2025, on her Instagram Stories, regarding an attempted home burglary at their Encino home in Los Angeles.
"We are grateful that everyone is unharmed. While we are shaken, we are fortunate to have the latest in home security systems, which scared off the intruders," the statement read.
According to the estranged couple, they alerted the police, who responded swiftly to the scene. Mellencamp and Arroyave, who were both home with their three children at the time of the incident, expressed appreciation for people's concern in light of the heightened criminal activities in their area, adding, "But we are safe."
The father of her children, Arroyave, who is the founder of Skyline Security, shared footage of the attempted home invasion in a July 22 Instagram post.
The video shows the intruders entering the property through the gate and onto the driveway wearing all black. They all hid behind a white vehicle before making their way toward the house. Moments later, they ran out.
Arroyave and Mellencamp, who are currently going through a divorce since their October 2024 split, are the latest victims of home burglaries.
