Charli XCX and The 1975’s George Daniel Marry in Town Hall Wedding
The couple, who have been engaged since 2023, finally tied the knot over the weekend in a low-key London wedding, surrounded by loved ones.
Charli XCX and George Daniel have officially begun a new chapter together as newly married husband and wife. The couple wed at Hackney Town Hall in London on Saturday, July 19.
Following the private nuptials, the couple posed for photos outside the venue with their loved ones. For the special occasion, Charli donned an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown with ruched detailing and a sweetheart neckline.
She paired the dress with classic white heels and a long veil, letting her dark hair fall naturally. Beside her, George kept it sleek in a dark double-breasted suit paired with a light grey shirt. He also donned a white floral boutonnière on his left lapel to match with Charli’s bouquet.
After the ceremony, Charli shared a humorous and heartwarming glimpse of the day. She posted a video on TikTok, set to her 2024 hit "Girl, so confusing" with Lorde, that shows her walking into a room in her bridal attire wearing sunglasses.
The singer then strikes a few poses before sashaying away. "When George isn't crying when he sees me walking down the aisle," she wrote over the clip. "Luckily he did xx," she captioned the post.
Charli and George were first romantically linked in March 2022. They kept their relationship relatively private from then onwards and eventually got engaged in November 2023. The two first connected in 2021 when they worked together on the song, "Spinning."
