Amy Schumer Shows Off Her Summer Body After Challenging Weight Loss Journey
Amy Schumer is stepping into summer with confidence, revealing a refreshed look that reflects her commitment to honesty about her weight loss journey.
Months after revealing the extreme symptoms she experienced while taking Ozempic, Amy Schumer is showing off her slimmed-down figure in a black and white swimsuit as she enjoys the summer.
While standing on the deck of a boat, Schumer posed in the swimsuit with her hair pulled back into a messy bun and wore black sunglasses.
Her outing follows her March disclosure that she had tried a new weight loss medication, after a previous attempt left her so nauseous she couldn't lift her head off her pillow.
"Mounjaro's been great," the comedian said. She clarified that while the medication works for her, it is not covered by insurance unless a patient has diabetes or severe obesity.
"Which most of the internet thinks I have," she joked. "But I'm having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real with you about that."
Earlier in the video, Schumer, 43, described trying Wegovy three years earlier, saying she couldn't stop vomiting.
"I couldn't handle it. I don't know if they've changed the formula, whatever," the "Trainwreck" actress said.
Both drugs are used to aid in weight loss, but Mounjaro has been FDA-approved to treat Type 2 diabetes, while Wegovy has not.
