Rod Stewart Shares Backstage Moment with Four of His Children at Glastonbury
Rod Stewart took a personal moment backstage at Glastonbury to celebrate with four of his children, following a high-energy set amid public criticism over recent comments.
Sir Rod Stewart, 80, delivered a crowd-pleasing performance Sunday afternoon, June 29, 2025, on the Pyramid Stage during Glastonbury Festival's prestigious Legends slot.
The iconic British singer energized the massive audience with classic hits including "Maggie May," "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "Sailing." The 90-minute set was packed with star power, featuring guest appearances by Mick Hucknall of Simply Red, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, and singer Lulu.
After the show, Stewart took to Instagram to share a photo of himself backstage with four of his eight children — Ruby, Renée, Aiden, and Alastair.
"Celebrating back stage 🥳 After the show at @glastofest with 4 of my 8 children … Ruby, Renee, Aiden and Alastair, [sic]" he captioned the post.
The moment of family support came at a notable time for the veteran entertainer. Stewart's Glastonbury appearance followed backlash from fellow musicians after he recently expressed support for Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, a controversial figure in British politics.
Despite the controversy, Stewart's performance was met with enthusiasm from fans, many of whom praised the singer for his energy, charisma, and enduring vocal power. "A total legend. What a class act you are as well as everyone that was involved in that set. May you stay forever young ❤️" one fan wrote.
"You were amazing, what a show! Shout out to the fabulous band and gorgeous, talented backing singers, not to mention your guest artists. Wow!" another supporter commented.
"Fabulous family. Very proud to have known some of them from babies and up. Brilliant show. Sir Rod. Best wishes. 🙏🌺❤️ [sic]" a third fan said.
