Cassidy Gifford, actress and daughter of longtime "Today" show co-host Kathie Lee Gifford, has welcomed her first child—a baby girl named Rosie Mae Wierda.

Cassidy Gifford announced the birth of her daughter, Rosie Mae Wierda, on Instagram on June 6, 2025. According to the post, Rosie was born three days earlier on June 3 at 9:59 a.m.

The arrival marks a special milestone for the Gifford family, as Rosie is Kathie Lee Gifford's first granddaughter. Speaking to PEOPLE in an exclusive interview, the proud grandmother expressed her overwhelming joy.

"Babies are the last great miracle left in life. They never cease to amaze you, astound you and delight you," said Kathie Lee. "I am so in love already with this precious little girl!"

She added, "I can't even believe I am saying the word 'girl' cause I got so used to 'boys,' and I love our boys, but this girl is gonna rule the roost. She is going to rule the whole world."

Kathie Lee's deep bond with her daughter Cassidy shines through in her words, which are filled with warmth, admiration, and motherly pride. "She is drop-dead beautiful like her mommy and as sweet as can be," she said about her daughter and granddaughter.
