Prince William Appears to Take a Dig at Prince Harry During Public Engagement
Prince William raised eyebrows during a military engagement this week after making a remark that some interpreted as a subtle jab at his brother, Prince Harry, amid ongoing reports of family tension.
On a visit to the Army Air Corps in Wattisham, Suffolk, Prince William—recently appointed colonel-in-chief of the corps—spent the day speaking with soldiers, asking about their experiences, and inspecting military operations.

While chatting with one group about daily life and family time, the prince asked, "Is the pace of life good at the moment?" When one soldier described it as a "mixed bag," William replied, "Families okay? See you enough? Some of them might not want to see you that much. It's a mixed bag sometimes."

The quip, while seemingly casual, was seen by some as a thinly veiled reference to his strained relationship with Prince Harry, who has publicly spoken about the family fallout. During a BBC interview, the Duke of Sussex previously said he "would love a reconciliation" with the Royal Family but claimed that the King was not currently speaking to him due to disputes over security arrangements.
The Prince of Wales, dressed in military uniform, arrived at the base aboard a Wildcat helicopter, one of the Army Air Corps' key aircraft. His new role as colonel-in-chief, passed down from King Charles in May 2024, places him at the helm of the regiment where Prince Harry once served as an Apache helicopter pilot.
