Deborra-Lee Furness has officially filed for divorce from Hugh Jackman, two years after the couple publicly announced their separation. In a statement shared exclusively with DailyMail, Furness alluded to feelings of betrayal as she opened up about the personal journey she has endured.

"My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal," she said. "It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us."

Furness, who was married to Jackman for nearly three decades, shared that her spiritual perspective has helped her process the end of their long-standing relationship.

"This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience," she added. "It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom."

The couple's split became public in 2023, and while both initially remained private about the reasons, Jackman has since re-entered the spotlight with a new relationship. In January 2025, he was photographed in Los Angeles holding hands with Sutton Foster during a dinner outing. The two previously co-starred in "The Music Man" on Broadway.
