Joe Biden's Former Staffers Suspect Cover-Up Following Prostate Cancer Revelation

Two of former President Joe Biden's longtime aides were caught off guard by the recent announcement of his stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis and are now questioning whether more could have been done to catch the illness earlier.

Former White House staffers who worked closely with President Joe Biden expressed their thoughts over what they perceive as a lack of transparency and missed opportunities for early detection. They believe that signs of illness may have been present long before the official diagnosis and that concerns about public perception may have influenced the delay in medical testing and disclosure.

"I do believe that they felt like something was going on, and were worried about it and kind of hedged around it for a little bit," one former aide said.

The same source speculated that an earlier announcement could have impacted the outcome of the 2024 presidential election, as Biden initially declined to withdraw from the race.

"I just don't know how they just, kind of find this out on a Friday, and it's this far advanced and serious," the former staffer added. "[If it's] in the bones, there's gotta be a discomfort… I think they just didn't test."

Another former aide questioned why Biden's presidential physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, did not conduct a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test during Biden's February 2024 physical, his last while in office.

"I think the likely scenario, knowing Kevin O'Connor pretty well, is that they had a discussion on what a PSA test is, and they decided not to do one because it would likely be elevated and cause a story, since a lot of older men have high PSAs that are false positives," the aide said.

"What's ironic," the source continued, "is that if they didn't give the president a PSA test because of the potential for optics of a possible false positive, that decision is ultimately going to lead to his death because they could have caught it earlier."

Biden's diagnosis was made public on May 18, 2025, Sunday. His cancer is considered "aggressive" and has metastasized to the bone, according to the official statement from his office.

Criticism over the timing of the diagnosis has not been limited to former Biden aides. President Donald Trump publicly questioned why the cancer had not been caught sooner, echoing concerns about the timing of Biden's health reports.
