Hulk Hogan Recovering After Undergoing Neck Surgery
Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan is already back to work just days after undergoing neck surgery, demonstrating his trademark resilience as he prepares for a new role in a budding wrestling league.
WWE legend Hulk Hogan, 71, recently underwent a neck fusion procedure on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, but is reportedly recovering well and has already resumed work commitments. According to a representative, the surgery was aimed at making him feel better.
Despite the nature of the operation, Hogan returned to work the very next day. "Quick turnaround," his representative said, noting the former champion's determination.
Hogan is now focused on his latest venture, which is serving as commissioner for a new wrestling league, Real American Freestyle. The league aims to spotlight traditional forms of wrestling, including freestyle and folkstyle, in a professional entertainment format.
Though best known for his dominance in professional wrestling, Hogan developed an interest in amateur wrestling styles after his stepson introduced him to them. Intrigued by their technical depth and athleticism, Hogan began to believe that with the right platform, these styles could gain widespread popularity and commercial success.
Promotion for the new wrestling league is well underway, with Hogan leading the charge as commissioner. He has actively shared highlights from recent media appearances, aiming to build excitement and attract a wide audience to the league's debut.
