Coleman Domingo Honors André Leon Talley at the 2025 Met Gala
The "Euphoria" star, who also served as co-chair, paid tribute to the late stylist and Vogue editor-at-large André Leon Talley at the distinguished event.
Colman Domingo understood the assignment—once again—with this year's Met Gala theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." However, the actor made his appearance even more meaningful with a stylish nod to Talley, who died in 2022.

The gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Costume Institute Andrew Bolton shared that Talley's work was the catalyst and inspiration for the chosen theme.

Anna Wintour, Vogue's editor-in-chief, echoed this sentiment ahead of the big night. "André was a dandy among dandies and he radiated joy. I'll be thinking of him on the night of the Met Gala, an evening made for him — and one I can scarcely believe he will miss," she wrote.

For the evening, Domingo served a dual look, first arriving on the red carpet in a royal blue pleated cape, layered with a dramatic silver-and-white embellished collar, and statement diamond necklace.

This first regal ensemble appeared to be a nod to Talley's 2011 Met Gala look, where the fashion journalist also wore a royal blue coat over a classic tux.

For his second look, Domingo donned a bold checkered blazer with a large polka-dot flower pin, paired with high-waisted gray trousers. Layered underneath was a textured dress shirt and a white waist coat.

The TV star embodied the essence of the Black dandy as he served as co-chair of the Met Gala. His fellow co-chairs, alongside Wintour, included Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams, and A$AP Rocky.
