The pair were discussing how Jackson and his fellow “Dawson’s Creek” co-stars gathered to support Jason Van Der Beek, who played Dawson Leery on the ‘90s show, following his colorectal cancer diagnosis.
It was then that Jackson revealed which co-stars he has stayed in contact with. "Busy [Philipps] and Michelle [Williams] are very, very close. And Katie and I are very close," he shared.

He added that while they may not speak every day—and may only call once a week, a month, or even half-yearly—their bond remains intact.
Holmes, in a June 2024 interview with The Times, also said she likes to keep in touch with her former co-stars. They even had a long-running WhatsApp group, but the actress rarely checked it, as the app was a “little too much” for her.

She admitted she wasn’t always aware of the group chat but still texted her former castmates now and then.
She and Jackson dated between 1998—the year “Dawson’s Creek” first aired—and 1999. They broke up but continued working on the show until its end in 2003.
