Sophie Turner and Chris Martin Are Reportedly Dating: Source

The Coldplay frontman and the "Game of Thrones" alum both recently ended their respective relationships and have reportedly been on a few dates together already. Sources say their chemistry is promising.

Chris Martin and Sophie Turner are reportedly seeing each other. The news comes on the heels of their recent breakups — Turner from her boyfriend of two years, Peregrine "Perry" Pearson, and Martin from his partner of eight years, Dakota Johnson.

"They have gone out on a few dates in London," an insider told Us Weekly. "It is still very new, but they have a lot of chemistry, and there's a definite spark between them." The source shared that Turner and Martin met in passing years ago through mutual friends in the music industry.

At the time, Turner was still married to Joe Jonas. "It was always friendly," the insider said. "Sophie has always admired Chris and was a big fan of both him and his music long before they ever met."

They added, "She's even joked that she used to have a bit of a crush on him, so it's funny and surreal that they actually connected in a romantic way in real life." Back in 2020, Jonas surprised Turner with a video of Martin wishing her a happy birthday.

In the clip, shared by the Daily Mail from Jonas' show "Cup of Joe," Turner and Jonas are sitting in a restaurant when Jonas hands his phone to his then-wife and says, "I have a friend who wants to say happy birthday."

As soon as she saw the screen, Turner covered her face in shock and squealed, "It's Chris Martin!" In the clip, Martin began, "This is Chris from Coldplay. I wanted to say, on behalf of me and the even more handsome members of our band, I hope you are having the best day."

"I send you all my love and I hope you're having a great time. Thanks for being awesome, bye," he said. Before ending the video, Martin blew a kiss at the camera. Now, according to the above-mentioned source, he and Turner are getting along well thanks to their shared interests.

"They have a lot in common, and Chris is definitely her type," the insider noted. "They have bonded over being British and their love for music." Turner's romantic link to Martin comes after her recent split from Pearson this past September.

"They had conflicting personalities and weren't getting along," an insider said of their breakup. "They tried to make it work, but they weren't meshing, and Sophie wanted to move on." Before Pearson, Turner was married to Jonas for five years between 2019 and 2024.

The former couple share two daughters, Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3. Martin, on the other hand, split from Johnson back in June. The pair were in an on-and-off relationship since December 2017 and were confirmed to be engaged in March of this year.

Though neither confirmed the separation, Johnson was spotted without her engagement ring shortly after the news broke. Like Turner, Martin was also previously married to Gwyneth Paltrow between 2003 and 2016. The pair share daughter Apple, 21, and son Moses, 19.
