He much prefers her in skirts rather than pants. According to the Daily Mail, Stewart has even occasionally reprimanded her with the words, "Oi. Trousers!" When asked if she found this controlling, Lancaster answered thoughtfully.
"When you think about controlling, coercive behaviour and the signs to look for, you could think, hang on — telling me how to dress, what to wear. But it wasn't coming from that direction," she explained.
"He knew I was coming into a lifestyle where there were wealthy people, and I was going to require different outfits. And he thought: 'She's special, I'm going to treat her. I'm going to surprise her,'" she continued.
When they go out shopping, Stewart often suggests certain articles of clothing and Lancaster knows how to turn them down gracefully.
"He'll pick something up in a shop and say, 'Darling, look at this.' And I'll say: 'That's skintight and not for my tummy.' 'OK, what about this?' And I'll say, 'My boobs are too big for it, darling.' He doesn't see me as I see me. I've aged, but he doesn't see it. How lovely is that?'" she added.
Stewart and Lancaster have been married for 18 years. The couple met in 1999 and began dating shortly after. They became engaged in 2005 and officially tied the knot in June 2007. They share two sons, Alistair and Aiden.
