They announced their engagement through a joint post on Instagram, with one image highlighting the massive old mine–cut diamond Kelce used to propose.
He designed the ring with Kindred Lubeck of Artife Fine Jewelry. While specific details about the design have not been disclosed, several jewelry experts have weighed in on what they believe to be its standout features.

Hannah Florman, a fine jeweler specializing in bespoke engagement rings, estimated Swift's sparkler at around 8 carats. She noted that its value is significantly higher because of the old mine diamond, which makes it antique.
"High-color antiques are extremely rare," she said. "Because of the technology available at the time, stones were often cut in a way that resulted in a lower color grade than what you see here, so I imagine sourcing this quality and size of stone led to an inflated cost."

Another jeweler, Ann Grimmett of Jared Jewelers, agreed the ring appeared to be between 7 and 9 carats.
While some experts valued the ring between $500,000 and $1.5 million, jeweler George Khalife suggested it could actually be closer to 20 carats, with a price tag ranging from $3.5 million to $5 million.
"The ring seems to come with some serious history! Old mine diamonds are rare and hard to come by," he shared. "It means the diamond is naturally occurring, and hand-cut, using techniques that we rarely see anymore! The whole look feels really antique, which I think suits Taylor perfectly."
Kelce and Swift began dating in 2023. Now, two years later, they are ready to take their relationship to the next level by settling down and getting married.
