The "Love Story" singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end announced their engagement with a joint Instagram post that contained a carefully chosen detail that the internet quickly picked up on.

The couple's photos were set to "So High School," a track from Swift's "The Tortured Poets Department" album written about Kelce, 35. The song includes the lyric, "You know how to ball, I know Aristotle."

Swift and Kelce tied the moment back to that lyric in the caption, writing, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨."

Kelce proposed in a garden filled with pink and white flowers, a setting that mirrored the romantic aesthetic of Swift's "Lover" music video. The two first began dating in the summer of 2023.

The news came during her first-ever podcast appearance on the Kelce brothers' "New Heights," making the engagement reveal part of a broader chapter of triumphs and new beginnings.
