Vera Wang’s Appearance at US Open Sparks Mixed Reactions
The fashion mogul attended the USTA Foundation's opening night gala over the weekend in her signature style; however, netizens were more focused on her "dangerously thin" figure.
Vera Wang attended the United States Tennis Association opening night gala on Sunday, August 24. The prestigious event took place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City.

For the evening, Wang wore a sleek floor-length gown with a deep gray bodice that transitioned into a flowing white skirt. The dress also featured a daringly low-cut back and was paired with oversized black sunglasses and ivory platform heels.
Wang also carried a structured black handbag with perforated detailing and wore hair down with a sleek middle part. Photos and clips from her blue carpet moment at the gala circulated online, prompting fans to comment on the 76-year-old's slender figure.

"75? Years or pounds?" one netizen remarked. "Please get some help. Dangerously thin," another said.
"I want to feed her a hamburger. This is not glamorous. This is not attractive. This is sad to see her look so thin," a concerned onlooker wrote. "Omgeee please eat something, you have a child body," another urged.
Wang has long faced online scrutiny about her frame; however, she has maintained that she prioritizes her overall well-being. "I'm sort of very balanced in terms of my health, hopefully," she told Page Six last October.
"I work very hard at that. Towards mental health as well as physical health, so those are important things," she said.
