Fans React to A$AP Rocky’s Answer About His Baby’s Gender

The rapper, who is expecting his third child with Fenty billionaire Rihanna, was attending the "Smurfs" premiere when the question came up during a red carpet interview.

A$AP Rocky was at his partner's side when her new animated film debuted in Belgium on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Rihanna voices the lead character in the new "Smurfs" movie, starring alongside Natasha Lyonne and Hannah Waddingham.

She arrived arm-in-arm with A$AP at the event, which took place at Mont Des Arts in Brussels. The couple posed for pictures and stopped for interviews before heading inside the venue for the screening.

A$AP spoke with Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier, who asked how big of a family he and Rihanna wanted. "We're going to be like the Wayans family, you know?" the rapper joked. "I mean, love is beautiful and it's just spreading it, you know?"

The video then cuts to Frazier asking, "By the way, is this the girl you've been waiting for?" The camera panned to Rihanna, who was also speaking to reporters.

"It is, man, it is," A$AP replied, looking in her direction, before holding up the Smurfette plushie and saying, "Right here! You know what I'm saying? Right here." Frazier tried pressing, as he said, "You know what I'm asking!"

But A$AP didn't give any further information. Fans reacted to the interaction and saw it as A$AP strategically avoiding revealing his baby's gender.
