
Anne Burrell Found Unresponsive in Shower Hours After Last Being Seen by Husband
Anne Burrell was discovered unresponsive in her shower early Tuesday morning by her husband, just hours after he last saw her alive, according to a new source.
Anne Burrell, the celebrated chef and Food Network star, has died at age 55 after being found unresponsive in her New York City home early Tuesday morning.

Her death was confirmed by the Food Network, which described her as "a remarkable person and culinary talent." Burrell was best known for her vibrant personality and signature spiked blond hair, which made her a fan favorite on shows like "Secrets of a Restaurant Chef" and "Worst Cooks in America."
According to law enforcement sources cited by TMZ, Burrell's husband, Stuart Claxton, found her unconscious in the shower between 6 and 7 a.m. He had last seen her alive around 1 a.m.

Claxton called 911 and was reportedly advised to perform CPR, though her body was cold at the time. It remains unclear whether CPR was performed.
The incident was reported as a cardiac arrest, according to a spokesperson for the New York City Fire Department. The official cause of death has not yet been determined by the medical examiner.
In a statement released through the Food Network, Burrell's family said, "Her light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal."

The Food Network added, "Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent – teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. Our thoughts are with Anne's family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss."
