Travis Kelce Spotted at Football Practice Ahead of 'Grand Opening' of New Business Venture with Patrick Mahomes
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is staying busy during the offseason while also preparing for another career opportunity. He described the upcoming project as "unbelievable."
Travis Kelce attended a football practice session over the weekend at Chamblee High School in Atlanta, Georgia. The athlete posed for pictures with two students, Brayden Doss and Jazz Lewis, who play football at the school.
Doss took to X to share his experience with the NFL star, writing, "Got some training in with @tkelce @Jazzlewis1018 thanks for everything," alongside snippets of the practice session on the field.
Lewis also posted about the session on the platform, sharing, "Got some good work in with Travis Kelce this past week, learned a lot from the Super Bowl legend."
Kelce's latest outing comes ahead of the launch of his new business venture with fellow Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes. In April 2024, Kelce announced that he and the quarterback are opening up a restaurant called 1587 Prime. He said:
"What I can tell you is that we're trying to open it up by around this time next year, so a 2025 grand opening. I've just been so fortunate to meet such amazing people [and] to be in it with my brother Pat Mahomes."
The restaurant's name is a combination of the football stars' jersey numbers. The pair are partnering with global hospitality group Noble 33 to launch the steakhouse inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel.
It will reportedly feature "multi-sensory dining aspects" and will consist of 238 seats across two levels and a 20-seat central bar area on the first floor.
Per reports, the business establishment will be open for operation before Kelce and Mahomes prepare for the start of the 2025 season. "It's just such an unbelievable opportunity," said 35-year-old Kelce of the project.
