Mariah Carey Sleighs in Santa Suit for Vegas Christmas Show
Mariah Carey kicked off her Las Vegas holiday residency in the most Mariah way possible — dressed like a sparkly Santa. The queen of Christmas took over Park MGM with festive looks, classic hits, and enough glitter to light up the Strip.
Mariah Carey officially rang in the holiday season with the opening night of her "Christmastime in Las Vegas" residency — and she did it in full festive glam, wearing a sparkly red Santa-inspired outfit.

The show kicked off Friday, November 28, at Dolby Live at Park MGM, marking the start of a 10-date run that continues through Dec. 13. Carey performed a mix of holiday favorites and songs from her latest album "Here For It All," transforming the Vegas Strip into her own winter wonderland.

One of the biggest highlights of the night was her finale look: a red sequined micro bodysuit trimmed in white fur, complete with heels and a gold microphone. She paired the outfit with signature glam — long wavy hair, diamond earrings, and a huge smile — in what felt like a festive nod to her Queen of Christmas title.
The moment wasn’t just a stage performance. Carey also shared several photos of the look on Instagram, both onstage and backstage, captioning one post with, “Vegas, night 1! Thank you Lambs, see you all tonight for Christmastime 🎄💕🦋.”
In another post from the weekend, she added: “When Christmas comes to Vegas! 🎄💕🦋” alongside more Santa-suit snapshots.

Of course, the Santa suit was just one of multiple festive looks throughout the three-act show. Carey also appeared in a glittering gold-and-silver ombré mini dress with matching thigh-high boots, a red floor-length gown with beaded embellishments, and a sequin-covered candy cane gown that looked straight out of a holiday dream
In between costume changes, Carey moved through a setlist filled with Christmas staples — including an extended version of "All I Want for Christmas Is You," plus tracks from her latest release.
Videos she posted after the show gave fans a closer look at the onstage magic: backup dancers, snowfall effects, and plenty of singing along from the audience.
Outside the venue, the energy was just as festive. In a separate Instagram post, Carey shared footage of herself greeting fans — aka her “Lambily” — signing autographs and soaking in the support.
“Feeling all the love from my Lambily! Thank you for an amazing first Christmastime weekend in Vegas. Love ya! 🐑🦋💕” she wrote.
With the festive fashion, the timeless hits, and the return of the Santa suit, there’s no doubt: Christmas in Vegas officially belongs to Mariah Carey.
