Why Adam Sandler Sends Jennifer Aniston Flowers on the Same Day Every Year
The "Friends" alum, who shares a decades-long friendship with the "Happy Gilmore" star, revealed the heartwarming gesture years ago — one that has carried great significance for the actress.
Jennifer Aniston receives a bouquet of flowers every year on Mother's Day from her longtime friend, Adam Sandler. The gesture might come as a surprise to fans, as the actress doesn't have any children. Regardless, it is something she cherishes from the actor.

Aniston has been open about her struggles with fertility. She revealed in an interview with Allure that she explored IVF therapies in her 30s and 40s, but to no avail. "I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road," she remarked. "It was really hard."
The "Just Go With It" star said she tried everything, including Chinese teas. "I would've given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor,'" she continued. "You just don't think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed."
Despite being unable to conceive a child, the 56-year-old said she has no regrets. "I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, 'Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe,'" she reflected. "I don't have to think about that anymore."
During the earlier years of her career, the media didn't take kindly to Aniston not having children. As she put it, the ongoing narrative was that she was "just selfish" and too focused on her work.
"I just cared about my career. And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn't have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn't give him a kid. It was absolute lies. I don't have anything to hide at this point," she said.

Aniston has been married twice — first to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005, and later to Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018. In 2016, she wrote an op-ed for the Huffington Post, criticizing the media's obsession with her being pregnant and its overall treatment of women.
Aniston had long ignored the headlines, but it came to a point where she felt the need to speak up. Speaking about the op-ed with Harper's Bazaar, she noted:
"[The media] didn't know my story, or what I'd been going through over the past 20 years to try to pursue a family, because I don't go out there and tell them my medical woes."
The actress also recently opened up about whether she wants to adopt. "When people say, 'But you can adopt', I don't want to adopt. I want my own DNA in a little person," she said during her appearance on "The Armchair" podcast. "That's the only way, selfish or not, whatever that is, I've wanted it."
"It just wasn't in the plan, whatever the plan was," she continued. "It's very emotional, especially in the moment when [doctors] say, 'That's it.' Because there is a weird moment when that happens."
