The supermodel attended the prestigious ceremony alongside her 21-year-old daughter, where she was among five honorees recognized for their work in tackling humanitarian issues.
Christy Turlington attended the 16th annual Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) Awards on Thursday evening, August 28, in Venice, Italy. The 50-year-old longtime model was an honored guest at the event and she made it a family affair, bringing her daughter, Grace Burns, along.

For the outing, Turlington wore a sleek, short-sleeved black gown, featuring an elegant asymmetrical design that draped into a slit skirt. She completed the look with black pointed-toe heels and understated jewelry, styling her hair in a chic updo.

Beside her, Burns donned a silky burgundy slip dress with white polka dots, detailed with thin straps and a long flowing hem that pooled slightly on the floor. She kept her look minimal with natural makeup and soft bangs framing her face.

Every year, The Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation recognizes five women leading humanitarian efforts across the globe. Turlington was honored with the DVF Leadership Award for her work with the non-profit organization Every Mother Counts, which she founded in 2010.

The mom of two — who shares Burns and her son, Finn, with husband Ed Burns — established the organization with a mission to advocate for equality in maternal care. That mission arose after she experienced complications with her own childbirth.
