Opening Date Announced for Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes's Steakhouse
Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are taking their partnership from the gridiron to the dining scene, as their new steakhouse 1587 Prime locks in its grand opening date.
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are teaming up off the field with a new business venture that is set to make waves in Kansas City.
The two-time Super Bowl champions revealed the opening date for their highly anticipated steakhouse, 1587 Prime. According to the restaurant's Instagram page, doors will officially open on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, which also happens to be Mahomes' 30th birthday.
The debut comes just two weeks after the NFL's 2025–2026 season begins on September 4, 2025, when the Dallas Cowboys face the Philadelphia Eagles. The following day, Kelce and Mahomes' Kansas City Chiefs will kick off their campaign against the Los Angeles Chargers.
"Precision in every detail. Power in every bite," read the announcement. Reservations for opening night and beyond open Aug. 20 at 12 p.m. CST. "Be among the first to experience Kansas City's newest steakhouse," the post added.
A promotional video shows Kelce, 35, and Mahomes sampling menu items. "We wanted to bring something special for the city of Kansas City," Mahomes says.
Kelce chimes in, "What's better than to break food with people over good food, good drinks and a cool vibe?" In a voiceover, Mahomes adds, "Kansas City loves food. The city's gonna love it."
The restaurant, located inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel, will span two floors and 10,000 square feet. It will feature private dining rooms, "multi-sensory dining aspects," and a striking meat display. Even the name, 1587 Prime, is a tribute to the duo's jersey numbers.
