Coldplay had their first "Music of the Spheres" World Tour show on Saturday, July 19, since the scandal involving former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot, which unfolded on Wednesday, July 16.

Several developments—ranging from hilarious to consequential—have emerged since then, the latest being Chris Martin seemingly acknowledging the debacle during his band's concert at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.

In a video shared on X, Martin appears on the jumbotron with a guitar in hand. "We'd like to say hello to some of you in the crowd," he began with a knowing smile as the crowd erupted in cheers.

"How we're gonna do that is we're gonna use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen. So please, if you haven't done your makeup, do your makeup now," he joked. The concertgoer that posted the clip later shared that "zero couples" were shown on the jumbotron.

On Wednesday, July 16, a man and a woman—later identified as Byron and Cabot—did appear on the Kiss Cam at a Coldplay concert in Boston. In a viral TikTok video, the camera pans to the pair, who are seen in a loving embrace as they enjoy the show.

However, once they realized they were being broadcast to the audience, Cabot turned away as she hid her face, while Byron ducked out of view. Their reaction sparked rampant cheating rumors as internet sleuths began digging into their identities and actions.

The moment triggered an internal investigation at Astronomer while Byron and Cabot were placed on leave. A day later, the tech firm announced that Byron had tendered his resignation. Both Byron and Cabot are reportedly married to other people.
