Denise Richards’ Daughter Sami Sheen Opens up About Living with OCD

The 21-year-old influencer spoke about the challenges of living with the disorder in a candid post over the weekend, while expressing her frustration at the term's widespread misuse on social media.

Sami Sheen is opening up about her battle with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, better known as OCD. The OnlyFans creator took to TikTok on Sunday, July 27, to reveal how the mental condition affects her daily life.

"Nothing aggravates me more than when someone's like, 'Oh my god, I'm so OCD, I need to keep my room clean and organized,'" Sami began.

She continued, "All right. Well, I'm so OCD, that even if I buy something from the grocery store that day and I read the expiration date over and over and over and over and over again, somehow I will convince myself it's a fake expiration date, and it's actually expired a year ago."

She added that, because of the disorder, she ends up believing that if she eats the said item, she will become "violently" ill. "So, I have to throw it away and starve," she said.

The video garnered significant support for Sami, with many viewers sharing their own experiences with OCD.

According to Mayo Clinic, the condition "features a pattern of unwanted thoughts and fears known as obsessions. These obsessions lead you to do repetitive behaviors, also called compulsions."

The compulsions, as many in Sami's comments section attested, can cause distress in even the most mundane daily activities. However, in Sami’s case, they only account for one aspect of the model's troubled personal life.

Just over a month ago, she revealed that her sister, Lola Sheen, had blocked her number after Sami expressed support for the LGBTQ+ community.

"My mom did an amazing job raising me and my sister to be very accepting of everyone's sexuality and gender identity and everything else under the sun," Sami shared in a now-deleted TikTok video in June.

"So, that's why it is so sad for me to see that my own sister is homophobic and transphobic now," she said. Sami is Denise Richards' first daughter with Charlie Sheen, while Lola is the former couple's youngest.
